Body Found North of Pinewood

On Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 11:30 AM, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office was called to 17408 Centerline Rd NW, a rural residence north of Pinewood, MN (Buzzle Township), to investigate a dead body that was located on the premises. The circumstances surrounding the death of the male individual were deemed to be suspicious. During the initial investigation by responding deputies, Randy Joseph Grubich, 44, was located on the property and taken into custody in connection with the death investigation.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted in the investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCA) and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. The case remains under investigation and further details will be released upon the completion of an autopsy. The name of the deceased will be released pending notification of relatives.
