Minnesota State Arts Board Needs Input for Arts Funding

We need your thoughts on new funding for the arts.

In November 2008, Minnesotans overwhelming voted for a constitutional amendment that will create a new dedicated sales tax to fund activities related to clean water, land and habitat, parks and trails, and arts and cultural heritage. The Minnesota State Arts Board and Minnesota's eleven regional arts councils will receive a significant funding increase because of this new tax.

Please plan to attend an upcoming public forum and let us know how you think the new funds should be invested. In Bemidji, the meeting will be held at 5:00 on Wednesday, June 3 in the Public Library at 509 Minnesota Avenue. However, if you wish to attend a forum in another community, please feel welcome.

Forums are free and open to anyone who would like to attend. You are welcome to attend any session--just pick the date and location that is most convenient for you. To help us plan accordingly, please call or e-mail to let us know which session you plan to attend.
